Kanika Kapoor becomes First Indian Singer to perform at Buckingham Palace
Baby Doll singer, Kanika Kapoor recently attended the 10th anniversary of the British Asian Trust in London. Prince Charles himself had invited the lady to the gala organised by the royalty. Not many know that the singer is also an ambassador of the Trust.
The gorgeous singer shares, “It was an honour to perform in the Buckingham Palace for the 10th Anniversary of British Asian Trust at a celebration hosted by Prince Charles last night. Also the fact that I am the first Indian to perform there was a special feeling altogether. I am looking forward to more such events in the near future.”
The singer performed with the well known British music producer Naughty Boy. She performed a mix of Bollywood and English songs. She further shared details of her visit to the gala, “We performed songs that are popular in the UK. I started the recital with Lambi Judai and went on to sing my hit number, Jugni. We also performed Naughty Boy’s latest song with BeyoncĂ©, Running. The act ended with a track for the Duke and Duchess, Kabhi Kabhi Mere Dil Mein,” she told mid-day.

Kanika has been a part of Prince Charles’ earlier functions as well such as the Elephant Family Charity’s Travels To My Elephants hosted by the royal couple in London.
Kanika Kapoor became the ‘Baby Doll’ of the film industry after giving the superhit song in the Ekta Kapoor movie Ragini MMS 2 in 2014. After that, there was no looking back for the singer as she gave many popular hits like ‘Chittiyan kalaiyyan’, ‘Jugni’, ‘Chhil gaye naina’ and many more to name.
