12 Indian Celebrities Just Posing With Their Madame Tussauds Statues

Founded by French wax sculptor Marie Tussaud in 1761, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum was first launched in London and has slowly spread across major cities across the world. One of the most popular tourist attractions in the world, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is soon coming to Delhi too.

While Indian legends like Kapil Dev have already unveiled their statues at the Delhi museum, we're still awaiting its official launch. Until then, let’s take a look at some of our favourite statues at Madame Tussauds across the world, with their original counterparts.

1.       Shah Rukh Khan
In 2007, SRK got his very first statue at Madame Tussauds London. The star has his statues at Madame Tussauds in Berlin, Sydney, Singapore and more. In 2015, his original statue in London got a makeover as his character Gaurav from the movie Fan

2.       Salman Khan
Salman Khan was voted the 7th best looking man in the world in a poll organized by People Magazine USA in 2004. After that in 2008, he got his statue at Madame Tussauds in London. In 2012, the actor got another statue at Madame Tussauds, New York.

The actress has a more life-like looking statue at Madame Tussauds in San Francisco. Sadly, she hasn’t visited it yet, but we insist you look at the detail on that one?

4.       Kareena Kapoor
In 2011, Kareena Kapoor became the second actress to get her statue at Madame Tussauds, London. Her signature look from Jab We Met’s hit song Mauja Hi Mauja has been immortalised there. In 2014, she got another one where her signature look from Ra One’s song Chammak Challo is sculpted at Madame Tussauds, Singapore.

5.       Katrina Kaif
In 2015, Katrina Kaif also got her statue at Madame Tussauds in London. 20 artists worked together in order to sculpt this one.

The latest Indian and the very first South Indian actor to get his own statue at Madame Tussauds is the Baahubali star Prabhas. The statue was unveiled last month at the Bangkok museum and the workmanship is so brilliant, you can’t tell whether it’s a statue or a live Prabhas striking his signature pose.
