Akshay Wins National Award for Rustom:
The Bollywood stunt star and true ironic hero Akshay Kumar has won his first ever National Award for his film “Rustom”. He won the best actor National award for the year 2016-2017. The performance in the film was stunning and he was much appreciated for his role being played as a naval officer. Grabbing all the appreciation and applauds, the actor was awarded the National Award for the first time ever in his lifetime. Being awarded is yet more a special moment but looks like people are not able to digest the rave and people seem not so happy with his success.
On winning the National Award, Akshay Kumar was criticized by few people in the industry.  They feel that it was unfair for him to get the national award and that to for his role in Rustom.  Huge arguments heated up on this topic claiming the decision to be unfair. The actor has been working in the industry for almost 25 years now and this is the first ever award in his career. On hearing about the criticism, the actor replied on the topic saying, “I have been hearing it for past 25 years, whenever someone wins there is some discussion around it. This is not new. Someone or the other always creates a controversy. He should not have won, the other person should have.”
Take the award back if you want!
The actor further added up saying that if people feel I don’t deserve to win the award, take it back if they want. It’s okay with me. The 49 years old superstar of the Bollywood does not lose his cool and tackled the entire situation in his way. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar is also known to be a simple man with such level of kindness who can do impossible things for people. Akshay Kumar was later asked in the interview whether he will consider the Padma Bhushan award for his philanthropic work in the future to which the actor smiled and said, “You have to do major work to earn such an award. Only then people can feel you deserve the award. We keep doing these things for our stuntmen whatever we can in our capacity.” Well, I personally feel Akshay Kumar deserves all of the appreciation for his role he in Rustom.
