Review : Jattu Engineer

Story Of Jattu Engineer:
The story of Jattu Engineer is quite interesting and sensitive issues have been portrayed in an absolutely fantastic manner. While the movie has comedy from its start to the end, romance and feats of desi engineering feature amidst all this drama. If you go to watch Jattu Engineer for entertainment, you’re guaranteed to leave the cinema hall in fits of laughter.
Made under the banner of Hakikat Entertainment, Jattu Engineer has been directed by the father-daughter duo of Baba Ram Rahim and Honeypreet Insan just like their previous movie “Hind Ka Napak Ko Jawab.” The story of Jattu Engineer revolves around a backward village which has a school but no teachers. The people of this village are extremely lazy and addicted to intoxicant substances. Baba Ram Rahim Singh plays a double role in this film. One role is of a strict headmaster named Shakti Singh Sisodia who positively transforms the lives of the villagers in his own unique style. The other role played by him is of a character named Sghaint Singh Siddhu: a jolly youth from the village who keeps viewers entertained throughout the film with his jokes. The movie unfolds as the lead protagonist pair Shakti Singh Sisodia and Sghaint Singh Siddhu (Saint Dr MSG Insan in both the roles) spreads the laughter on the screen with a beautiful expression of generosity and compassion, embellishing a witty way to reform the life of the villagers.
The film picks up pace after Shakti Singh Sisodia joins the village school. The opposition of the Sarpanch and his goons to the headmaster, the headmaster’s unique way of teaching the Sarpanch a lesson, and the antics of Sghaint Singh Sidhu keep the pace maintained throughout the film. The climax of the film will remind you of the famous Rajesh Khanna film Bawarchi. We wont give any spoilers here and will just say that watch the movie in cinemas and you’ll realize that it was totally worth it.
While most comedy films contain double meaning dialogues and vulgarity, Jattu Engineer is a pleasantly surprising clean  and entertaining comedy which you can safely watch together with your entire family. The dialogues of the film and scenes such as the one depicting how village youth can connect with sports ensure that the film sends out important social messages while making you laugh.
Be it the Shakespearean English of the Sarpanch, the heroine who express her feelings through her hairstyle, or the comedic ‘Thuk Laa Ke’ antics of Sghaint Singh Sidhu: the filmmakers of Jattu Engineer (Saint Ram Rahim and Honeypreet Insan) have put an astounding effort into developing the characters that keep the film riveting.
Music and Dialogues:
The film has two songs: one which revolves around the playful festival of Holi while the other one motivates young sportspersons in India in the Chak De India style. The songs and the background score of the film blend wonderfully with the story and make the screenplay even more compelling. Some dialogues of the movie are so powerful that they’re bound to stay with the audiences even after leaving the cinema hall. The scene covering the entry of Shakti Singh Sisodia has been filmed in a unique fashion and with the title track of the movie humming in the background.
The main message of Jattu Engineer: Continuing the theme from his previous movies, Saint Dr MSG Insan delivers the important message of women’s empowerment in this film too. In Jattu Engineer, the female characters are seen participating in agriculture, sports and competing equally in every sphere with their male counterparts.
The film also shows how positive social transformation can be achieved through hard work and self confidence even under difficult circumstances. The film also wonderfully exposes and speaks out against the menace of drug addiction and corruption making a satire on the system.

Some interesting facts about the film Jattu Engineer :

The shooting of Saint Dr MSG Insan and Honeypreet Insan directed Jattu Engineer was done in a village Tattiyakar that has been exclusively set up on the outskirts of Sirsa (Haryana), near the headquarters of Dera Sacha Sauda. The shooting location and sets appear so real that once you enter this village, you feel like wandering in a primitive downtrodden hinterland of 80s. Speaking of the speed, methodology and perfection of Saint Ram Rahim, audiences will be surprised to hear that Babaji and his team completed the shooting of Jattu Engineer in just 15 days. In this film too, the versatile Dr. MSG has fulfilled over 40 roles including that of actor, director, DOP, scriptwriting, song writing, set designing, dress designing, editor, and choreographer.
Along with shooting as well as post-production, the entire film has been made in Sirsa, Haryana. The actors (most of them are fresh faces) hail from the different parts of Haryana and Punjab. The film’s set designing, art work, dress designing, shooting as well as dubbing happened under the supervision and guidance of Saint Ram Rahim.
Considering these amazing facts, it would be no exaggeration in saying that Saint Ram Rahim has set up an entire parallel film industry in the state of Haryana.
The story of Jattu Engineer revolves around a downtrodden village that has a school but no teacher. The villagers are lazy lads and roam high on the drugs all the time. Then Shakti Singh Sisodiya ( Dr MSG in character of a Rajpoot teacher) joins the school and blows the winds of change. Jattu Engineer is based on true story with a pinch of healthy humor.
